Mental Health Resources
Thriving Forward Project provides Mental Health Services through a number of partnerships and in- house counseling.
Young people struggling from unresolved trauma often experience an array of problems, including academic struggles, health issues, poor peer relationships, and occasionally, involvement with the juvenile justice system. Consequences extend to family members, their local community, and society as a whole.
We are working to guide young trauma survivors and assist them with the development of life-long tools that help them understand and cope with the effects of trauma, in all forms.
Trauma Casts a Long Shadow Into Adulthood
Mental health struggles are often connected to substance use among adolescents, such as depression, developmental delays, apathy, withdrawal, and other psychosocial dysfunctions.
Compounding the issue, youth with substance use disorders are at higher risk than nonusers for mental health problems, including depression, conduct problems, personality disorders, suicidal thoughts, attempted suicide, and suicide.
